Outcomes
What you will be able to do
Not topics covered — things you will be able to do at work the week after.
Know your true cost per trip
Fixed cost, fuel, wear, and depreciation worked out per kilometre — so you can tell a profitable contract from a busy one.
Keep the fleet running
Preventive maintenance schedules, fuel and spares control, and vehicle records that show when to repair and when to replace.
Plan routes and schedules
Sequence trips and loads so vehicles and drivers are used well instead of idling half the week.
Manage drivers
Recruit, set conduct and safety standards, and use incentives that reduce fuel loss and accidents.
Control stock and warehousing
Receive, store, and dispatch accurately, and know what is actually on the shelf without counting it twice.
Handle freight paperwork and compliance
Documentation for road and sea freight, clearing and customs, licensing, and insurance that pays out when you need it.

Questions people ask
Does this cover passenger transport as well as goods?
Yes. Costing, fleet management, and driver management apply to both, and week 4 covers passenger scheduling directly. Weeks 5 and 6 lean toward goods, warehousing, and freight.
What is Skool and why do I need it?
Skool is the platform that hosts the course videos, materials, and community discussion. Creating an account is free and takes about two minutes. Payment and access are handled entirely by Skool.
What if I miss a live session?
Every session is recorded and posted in the community, so you can catch up in your own time and still ask questions afterwards.
Can I take this from outside Tanzania?
Yes — the courses are live online and open to students anywhere. Sessions run on East Africa Time (GMT+3) and every one is recorded, so joining from a different time zone costs you nothing but the live question-and-answer. Skool takes international cards and prices are shown in US dollars.
What language is the course taught in?
English, and all course materials are in English. Where everyone in a session happens to speak Swahili we will explain in it as well, but you never need Swahili to follow a course.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes — a Profix Companies certificate of completion once you finish the course and present your final project.
Can my organisation enrol several people?
Yes. Get in touch through the contact form or on WhatsApp and we will arrange group enrolment for teams.
