Outcomes

What you will be able to do

Not topics covered — things you will be able to do at work the week after.

  • Write a project charter that gets approved

Define scope, objectives, and success measures clearly enough that a funder, board, or client can say yes without a second meeting.

  • Build a schedule that survives contact with reality

Break work down, sequence it, find the critical path, and build in the buffer that keeps a slipped week from becoming a slipped quarter.

  • Budget and track cost properly

Estimate honestly, track spend against plan, and see an overrun while you can still do something about it.

  • Manage risk before it manages you

Identify what can go wrong, decide in advance what you will do about each one, and keep the register alive through delivery.

  • Keep stakeholders aligned

Map who matters, agree how you will communicate, and run status reporting that people actually read.

  • Close a project and capture what you learned

Hand over cleanly, get formal sign-off, and turn lessons into something the next project can use.

Questions

Questions people ask

Do I need any previous project management experience?

No. The course starts from first principles. It is aimed at people running projects without formal training — business owners, NGO staff, government officers, and anyone who has been handed a project and told to deliver it.

What is Skool and why do I need it?

Skool is the platform that hosts the course videos, materials, and community discussion. Creating an account is free and takes about two minutes. Payment and access are handled entirely by Skool.

What if I miss a live session?

Every session is recorded and posted in the community, so you can catch up in your own time and still ask questions afterwards.

Can I take this from outside Tanzania?

Yes — the courses are live online and open to students anywhere. Sessions run on East Africa Time (GMT+3) and every one is recorded, so joining from a different time zone costs you nothing but the live question-and-answer. Skool takes international cards and prices are shown in US dollars.

What language is the course taught in?

English, and all course materials are in English. Where everyone in a session happens to speak Swahili we will explain in it as well, but you never need Swahili to follow a course.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes — a Profix Companies certificate of completion once you finish the course and present your final project.

Can my organisation enrol several people?

Yes. Get in touch through the contact form or on WhatsApp and we will arrange group enrolment for teams.

Ready to run your next project properly?

Join the Project Management course and get the tools, templates, and community support to deliver it.
