Curriculum
What the course covers
6 modules · 6 weeks · 2 live sessions per week. Open one to see what is inside it.
01Week 1 — Digital foundations
Files, folders, and cloud storage. Email that gets read. Working across a phone and a laptop without losing track of anything.
02Week 2 — Spreadsheets that do the work
Formulas, sorting and filtering, and charts. Building a stock list, a budget tracker, or a simple dashboard you will actually keep updated.
03Week 3 — Working together online
Shared documents and drives. Online meetings that are worth attending. Keeping one version of the truth across a team.
04Week 4 — Being findable
Google Business Profile, WhatsApp Business, and social pages. Writing a listing that brings customers in, and answering enquiries quickly.
05Week 5 — AI assistants in practice
What tools like ChatGPT and Claude do well and badly. Writing prompts that get usable output. Using AI to draft, summarise, translate, and plan real work from your own job.
06Week 6 — Judgement and safety
Checking AI output against reality. What never to put into an AI tool. Passwords and two-factor authentication. Recognising scams, phishing, and mobile money fraud.

Questions people ask
Do I need a laptop?
You can follow most of the course on a smartphone, and every session is recorded. Weeks 2 and 3 — spreadsheets and shared documents — are much easier on a laptop, so borrow one for those if you can.
What is Skool and why do I need it?
Skool is the platform that hosts the course videos, materials, and community discussion. Creating an account is free and takes about two minutes. Payment and access are handled entirely by Skool.
What if I miss a live session?
Every session is recorded and posted in the community, so you can catch up in your own time and still ask questions afterwards.
Can I take this from outside Tanzania?
Yes — the courses are live online and open to students anywhere. Sessions run on East Africa Time (GMT+3) and every one is recorded, so joining from a different time zone costs you nothing but the live question-and-answer. Skool takes international cards and prices are shown in US dollars.
What language is the course taught in?
English, and all course materials are in English. Where everyone in a session happens to speak Swahili we will explain in it as well, but you never need Swahili to follow a course.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes — a Profix Companies certificate of completion once you finish the course and present your final project.
Can my organisation enrol several people?
Yes. Get in touch through the contact form or on WhatsApp and we will arrange group enrolment for teams.
